I was never good at maths at school.. Does the 0 offset mean the same size as normal wheels?

0 offset means the mounting plate for the rim is exactly centre, factory alloys are +10 offset (so sit 10mm narrower) so 0 offset rims stick out 10mm more on each side than factory ones.

Bad news everyone.. Talking to the guy I'm buying the Patrol from this morning and he says that there's a problem with it..

Basically the previous owner had adjusted the boost pressure due to an un-diagnosed crack in the inter-cooler. The inter-cooler has been replaced the other day, but while adjusting the pressure back to normal he broke one of the clips. So he's ordered this boost control kit https://www.tillix.com.au/product/b...l-zd30-di-crd-including-boost-pickup-adaptor/ all the way from Australia, and a boost gauge.

Its looking like I wont be able to pick the truck up till next week some time, however it will have wee button on the dash that I can press for extra POWER!! The extra adjustableness will be a help when fitting a snorkel etc.

It seems that every time I tell my mates "I'm picking the truck up tomorrow" I get delayed again lol! I am itching to order a Lift kit, wheels and tyres (my first set of upgrades) but I need the truck so I can order the correct kit! - Going with a Pedders 2" lift kit. If I went for a 4" lift, it would just be comedy time every time I get in and out cause I'm such a short arse!

Well, looks like I'm going to have to keep looking around, just got this from the dealer...

I am sorry to report that we have hit a wall with the Patrol. As previously discussed we have made various modifications to the vehicle to improve its driveability and although it is vastly improved to our mind it is still only at 95%. We have purchased kits from Australia as you know, and with their assistance fitted them and set them up. They are telling us it behaves as it should, we don't feel it does. In essence if you drive it like a hooligan you can still get it to overboost and hiccup, driven normally it behaves. To our mind that is not acceptable for a retail sale. We are going to send it to the auction as is and refund you your deposit, and we are sincerely sorry that we couldn't get it to work well enough for us to sell it retail. The only alternative is if you wish to try it and purchase it as is for a trade sale price of £5000 and use the saving to get it looked at by Nissan.

I need a car that's going to have to work properly and be road legal from the minute I pick it up. It'll be my only car and daily driver, so I'm going to have to look for sommink else.. I still want a Patrol, but it must have leather, heated seats, and air con. Under 100k Miles, 2005 + and of a smartish condition (I'll add my own scratches and dents later!)

Oh well, back to the Autotrader, ebay, gumtree, wightbay, and every used car dealership website I can find!! Are there any you guys know of?

I'm not that annoyed, I'm still driving a V8 7 series!!! :naughty
