Right this is a bit of a continuation of the original thread but this is the correct place for it
here is a video of what is going on in the header tank.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOmX4gtG81U
went to the garage today and got told that it is normal for this engine to do this and i should just drive it about till it goes bang and that its too old to worry about :doh
so then took it to another garage which they had a look and said that they cant smell any combustion gasses but it is getting air in the system from some where, which could be the early stages of the hg failing, but wasn't 100% sure
i have added some k-seal to the tank and followed the instructions properly but all that has seemed to have done is made the radiator spill out white froth everywhere and that goes over to the head tank as well
quick question tho how many pipes should go to the header tank as it seems it only has the one which comes from the radiator cap, reason for this question is how does it manage to refill the radiator when their is a pressure plate in the way from the rad cap ???
right where can i get this tool from ??
also once the head is removed can i give it to a shop to skim and pressure test with all the bits still in place or do i have to remove all the valves etc ??
cheers for any help

Remove injection nozzle holder from first cylinder with a special
tool (KV119E0030). Remove injection nozzles from cylinders
2, 3 and 4 using a deep socket wrench.
