The engine that makeitfit (Pete) spotted here is only 30 miles from me.

I will give them a ring tomorrow and, if it is still available, I will take a trip over there and pay the £290 and pick it up.

Rick is traveling up from the South coast to Nelson on Monday. After an over night stay he will pick Briggie's truck up on a car trailer on Tuesday morning and then, on his way back South, divert via my place in Shrewsbury to collect the motor.

Once back home Rick will carry out the 'transplant'.

Once again I would like to express a huge thank you to those of you who have made the engine purchase possible. Also a huge thank you to Rick who, with the offer of his time, has made this option possible.

It really does go to show that the 'good guys' far out number the bad

seriously ive been a absolute pain being stuck at home , not only to sheila but also to you guys too ... to be frank ive been bored crapless , ive even been cooking /baking/washing up .....and broke quite a few things too , ive even started to enjoy the disco for the freedom it sometimes gives me ( is there any hope ? ) .....i have spoke to rick and expressed my gratitude , and im sure you guys know how much i love ya all :clap

the disco is quite difficult to get my chair in and out , because its quite high at the back ,even though the chair dismantles , it still has heavy bits , mainly the batteries even though they carrying straps ,it is quite a operation to dismantle and re assemble ..... but worth it , the mistral is a lot lower and therefore easier to get the chair in and out :thumb2

As most of you are aware from *this thread* we managed to get Briggie (Pete) back on the road following his unfortunate deal regarding his newly acquired tuck.

Unfortunately the period of relief was short lived for Pete when the second problem occurred namely a failed engine.

After much debate and decision making we have had a very generous offer from solarman216 (Rick) *here*. This offer has certainly saved a huge amount of funds needed to get Pete mobile again.... Rick you are a gent :bow

I will call the garage where Pete's truck currently is tomorrow and let them know our plan and that Rick will be collecting Pete's truck very soon.

So, here is where you guys can help once again. We currently have £264.39 in the fund which will obviously be used to obtain a replacement engine. This is probably not far off what the engine will cost but, if anyone would like to add to this then please send your PayPal donation to [email protected] I believe if it is marked gift then no commission will be taken. Please clearly mark your donation as briggie fund.

Once we have Pete mobile again and as long as nothing else untoward occurs, I feel it would be only fair to donate any excess funds raised to a charity of Rick's choice.

If you have a PayPal account, you need to got to www.paypal.co.uk and then once you have logged in there should be a button to ‘send funds’.

superb idea , because rick is coming from essex to nelson , then to brighouse , then to pauls house then back to essex .... one hell of a long trip , and thats not taking into account his own time in doing this generous act ..... brilliant idea :thumb2:thumb2:clap:clap
