Hello JB...now you seemed to have calmed down a bit :lol:lol:lol:lol I've come to say hello and welcome mate! :thumb2

Now tell me something, the ladies of Team Wales told me firmly not to bother with a petrol T2 as they drown as easy as buggery apparently....but yours seems quite happy underwater....apart from the snorkel, have you done owt else to it?

cheers

paul

Dont know about JB but my old petrol ones were fine(well mainly:augie)
I just made sure all the seals were good like on the dizzy and had new leads allover etc.
I only blew the engine in the water cause I hammered it through a ford that was a bit deeper than the duck suggested!:doh
Petrol ones are cheap as chips so not really an issue I dont think:cool:
I still prefer the petrol power band :sly but overall the deisel is less likely to be a prob in the wet:thumb2

Yes my old one was good in water too. Nissan fit a nice little boot on the coil and dizzy and the dizzy cap has a rubber 'O' ring seal too - everything you might have to do to a lesser vehicle (for lesser vehicle rad Rover V8) to keep them water proof has already been done.

well i recon petrol is not the thing if you do water.... nice for off roading but like the landy people ....... diesel if you do water or petrol if you want oommf

as a rule petrol landies dont go near water

I just want one thats living and going but gonna start looking for a replacement I think

Nope. just the snorkel that was a diy from b&q and thats it. apart from siliconed the small vent in the air-box!!!! Not even done the breathers or owt. and goes like a train in the water lol :)

i'll stick with my 2.7td. slower than death but just keeps going :clap:clap:bow

thought about it but it's getting broken for spares at the end of the year. New T2 will be on the way and MAHOOSIVE plans for that...proper pimped

Quick run-down
1999-2002ish Nissan Terrano2 TDi Commercial
33-35" tyres
FIA roll cage
bucket seats
wading kit
extreme suspension
snorkel
front and rear winch
front, rear and roof cam's
and other gizmo's and gadgets
That's all i can think of just now:doh

It will be a beast. :bow

extreme suspension
Tell me more, how high you going?
Whats a wading kit:augie

244k miles

Extreme suspension. basically giving the same articulation as a land rover. A bit like terranosauras's T2

Not really sure probably gonna lift around 4-5 inches

Wading kit is basically just meaning extending the 2 axle breathers and the gearbox breather. :thumb2

hmmm £200!
I think the breathers go upto bulkhead on the T2 anyway :augie
I think BlueBull had a 4" lift on his truck and had a lot of grief with it:eek:
Good luck though,I'll be keeping my eye on it:thumbs
