Check your discs very carefully regarding the front end wobble I have bought 2 trucks where I have replaced just about everything on the front end.. Adjusted wheeel bearings, shimmed king pins or replaced bearings, New track rod ends, drag link, new steering dampener and later found hair line cracks on the discs to to the cause.....

I believe it developed a couple of issues...blown turbo being one of them, I could be wrong. I saw it on ebay...gutted I didn't have the coin to buy it myself:(

All that effort to sell it for 1700 and buy a paj
Turbo is nothing half a days labour on the drive with basic tools, get it reconditioned and refit... :thumbs
I'm gutted for you mate, best of luck with the paj! 2.5 shogun is a better choice but that's my opinion. Stay lucky

Yeah sorry for ya pal.I was looking forward to seeing the end result. But sometimes i guess you just have to let go...

Thanks for the replys,

I needed a working truck, and trying to get the parts over the christmas break was proving difficult, so I figured I would just sell on and get something else.

The chap that has bought it, is going to restore it i think. :clap

The pajero is no where near as nice to drive but is fills a purpose for now.

The turbo had blown, the brakes were shot, both front calipers need to be replaced, as well as the discs and pads plus the list of other bit that was steadily growing.

Had time not have been an issue I would have kept it and done the work, but unfortunately in this case time is money.

Here is the replacement

To be fair I had a 2.8 Shogun before I bought the Trol and she was a good truck. You just have to be eagle eyed for any overheating so you can fix the cause before she goes into the red as from memory that's when things can get expensive.

I had a leaking water pump and came close to redlining when it happened but luckily the headgasket was fine and there was no damage. You also have to watch with regard to the temp gauge as apparently the Japanese get very twitchy if they see any sort of increase in temp so Mitsubishi put a dead spot in the sensor so it can all of a sudden rocket up from about midway (where mine sat most of the time) to near red.

My main bugbear was Mitsubishi's love of putting mud traps behind plastic panels on the wheel arches and body :( talk about inviting rust!

I would suggest mymini007 joins the Pajero Owners Club Forum - but I think he already has :thumbs
