Cant remember but think size is 19mm its def not 18.Ive removed loads never needed to heat one .It will need to come off to replace the disc

They are 19mm I tried to undo mine yesterday when I did the cv boob but like everything on this car they were solid and couldn't move them.

Leverage is the key:thumb2
try a long breaker bar if you can get it in.
I would also try using an Impact socket as it the 6 sides and gets a better grip on the faces to prevent rounding:thumb2

if you are having problems getting the calliper off how you going to tackle disk from hub removal? Rick

I have mine on and off that much mine are only finger tight :lol :augie

I need to find the bolts for mine :doh

I'd get some penetrating stuff on it, a longer bar, bit of scaffy pole is my fav (you'll get more space if you turn the hub, same as you would with the wheels), failing that it'd be heat, but the wee plumber ones don't do much in my experience

50/50 brake fluid to acetone..............'Panther Piss' it's known as. Never met a seized bolt yet that can resist it :thumb2

Nice!!!! I'll have to remember that one and get some acetone to mix with it

Interesting stuff but what is acetone and any idea where to get it from, does it really work because every bolt I try to undo give me trouble :doh

Acetone, is what makes up most nail varnish removers, so you might have some in the ladies make up.

Caution.
Acetone can disolve plastic or man made fibres... and is very flammable:eek:

Alex and I will try this tomorrow as I have pure acetone and brake fluid, but in all honesty I cannot see it working, I have yet to see anything that dissolves rust, Rick
