So, if I am correct, to do a body lift you need to do the following...

for the LWB, you need to get 12 spacers, and bolts.

Trim extra plastic and/or metal from the transfer gear lever area.

Find a way to lift the bumpers up and re-attach them

Trim the bottom of the radiator cowling

Extend the front and rear drop links.

What about the exhaust hangers?

What about the gap that is now around the bonnet scoop into the Intercooler, how do you fill that?

Is the fuel tank attached to the body, or Chassis, do you need to worry about the filler pipe?

Anything else I need to make sure I have in advance?

I think that's basically it, iirc, the exhaust and. Everything is bolted to the chassis, so won't need touched

So far I can only find a set on fleabay, or Milners, and the ones I find are only 1.5", who else sells them?

Also I notice most are just aluminium blocks, but some seem to be more like the hard rubber of an engine mount, would it be better to go for them if I can find them?

hard rubber looking ones are actually hard plastic, Both are just as good.

When doing the body lift make sure you undo the steering link spline part to allow it to move.

Trim the bottom of the radiator cowling - Remove cowling, I never did though and had no issue.

Extend the front and rear drop links. - Drop links are attached to chassis not body.

What about the exhaust hangers? - Exhaust is attached to chassis

What about the gap that is now around the bonnet scoop into the Intercooler, how do you fill that? - Leave it as is, does not make any noticeable difference.

Is the fuel tank attached to the body, or Chassis, do you need to worry about the filler pipe? - Attached to the chassis, filler pipe can stretch the extra length.

Anything else I need to make sure I have in advance? - yes make sure your insurance company is ok with the mod before starting and also pry open the coiled front brake pipes to extend to extra distance

Hope this helps

Thanks for that guys...

I actually told the insurance company it is already lifted, as I knew I wanted to do it.

Hope it'll bloody arrive soon, the guy is a complete and utter :jerkit:

I.ve had some for sale on ebay recently - 25mm and 65mm - might have some others too, will have a look and see

Just checked and I have a set of 25mm blocks with bolts and a set of 65mm blocks with bolts. - open to any offers would like to see them gone, want the space.

I know this has sort of been covered, but just wondering if the extra 15mm on the 65mm will cause a lot more issues... I kind of got it into my head that you could only go up to 50mm with out having to start to do major mods to the car.

Are these kits for the LWB or SWB?

still waiting for mine to arrive.....the guy is a:jerkit::jerkit::jerkit::jerkit:

The link I gave is SWB but why would you bother lifting a LWB :nenau but if you do then they're £60
The extra 15mm lift means a slightly bigger low box gear shift tweak and the filler rubber pipe will be well tight. Just carefully tease out the coiled brake lines is all I think

bank transfer, he refused paypal, but i keep mesing him asd he said it's the postal service, and he's sent another kit

this guy, could be genuine postage f**k up or could be a arse, whatever happens, i'm down £70:(

does this sort of thing 'supposingly'

SWB

Not sure where that info comes from - but then its typical internet stuff isn't it, rumour by people who have never actually done the job. Did my first Terrano bodylift (well it was a Maverick actually) 6 years ago. not the one in my avatar - my old avatar for those that remember it

The only really issue is the transfer box lever on some you need to elongate the hole for 50mm for some you don't for more its all down tot build tolerances and how much wear you have in your gear linkage bushes etc.(lever moves further with age and wear).

I would advise not stretching the filler pipes as indicated by someone above but cutting them and putting in some steel or alloy pipe to extend and a couple of jubilee clips to tighten it all up.

That's a pain  He should easily be able to track the ruddy parcel. You should have bought off xpajun like we said. Only 60 quid there :augie
Ask him again for proof of posting and pref tracking etc.
