ok, i'm going to have a black bonnet on Toby the Terrano to make him look epic  i was originally wanting gloss but me mate said it'll look and i quote 'gross' and i'm afraid he might be right:doh so i just want to know, what do You guys and girls think? should toby's bonnet be gloss or matt black? i am beginning to think matte will be better as then you get a better contrast:)

please fill out the poll:thumb2

Been talking to a auto paint supplier about a suitable paint to do my merc vito by hand and he recomends a satin black called raincoat he says you can get good finnish with a roller about 42quid a gallon

cool, my god father is doing mine as he's got a professional spray system:thumb2, going to take the parts over tomorrow

sounds a nice idea BUUUUTTTT....I see it like this, as your car ISNT a track car, and the bonnet isn't carbon fiber, its just gonna look like you have fitted a wrong colour bonnet. See, people who spray their bonnets black, generally do it so it looks carbon, so it looks sporty, but unless its on a sports car, it just looks like a wrong colour car part-as if your car wa sin a front end smash and this was the quick cheap fix....

just saying,....

I voted gloss black by the way, because then it will shine real smart in summer.:thumbs

It's going to look shit, might aswell curl one out on the bonnet. :lol

its tricky..such a big vehicle. Id have to have the bonnet done, the roof, and the rear door...and even then, id be feeling a bit like a nob......:lol

yeah im only joking with you, it'll look good, although for me, it'd have to be glossy, I just think a big car like this, looks awesome when its shiny, matt black im not so sure about....not that I don't like matt black, it just has to be a good paint job for matt to work.
