I did ours last year all satin black, I think it looks cool also hides the rust on the front wings better. also easier to match after I treat the wings (again) :thumb2:thumb2

I'm doing my Trol eventually in satin black. Did you spray it or use a roller ?

Ukrainian version, same as mine :D:D

Im with the other peeps, it may look odd!
my paint work gets scrached a lot with any car I have due to the fact me and my partner are constantly getting ladders on and off. work belts and tools have ruined most of my cars.
this one will ulltimatly end up matt black and easy to touch up.But all over.

What would look great is having the bonnet colour coded to be identical to the front wings, doors side panels and roof.

I believe that some top of the range manufacturers like BMW, Mercedes, and Skoda :)lol) do this already, and it is very appealing to the customer.
The cars tend to hold their value too.

For the same reason, I will not vote as my option "WTF" or "don't bother" isn't listed...:lol:lol

To keep matt black matt will probably take more effort than keeping gloss black gloss. if you know what I mean.:nenau

Imagine a few drops of diesel on the paint, there will be semi gloss spots all over.

If you customise a car so that it is unique, then I hope you park it in a garage, as some toe rag that holds a grudge will one day recognise it and follow you home.
So you had better be careful when you give inappropriate hand signals, or cut some one up.
The same applies to personalised number plates.:doh

Worth thinking about.

Our Picasso blends in that well we have difficulty finding it sometimes.:doh

I think I would rather have it this way.:thumb2

:lol:lol If he paints it matt black, we can use it as a blackboard to leave him messages when ever we see it parked up.:lol:lol

Yeah, I'm not going to mat the bonet, I am going to colour code the trim panels like the grill , arch plastic etc. Will just have to see, I'm definatly personalising it tho, need a vehicle that looks the business...well it already does! :D

I did a very cheap spray job. got the paint off flea-bay I think it came from Ireland but not sure anyhow had to do it outside so judging the weather was the hardest bit but all went on OK not bad paint at all. Now its done its a lot easier to keep on top of the wing rust and after rubbing down, filling etc the paint matches up no problem. :clap :naughty:naughty
