JESUS :doh

That guy gets some bum luck man

People tell me that things happen for a reason, maybe the delay in cheque happened because you'll be a while longer.

As for luck, I have great luck because I've got a great family and two great dogs :thumbs

Jim that must be one of the most inspiring comments I have read this week.:thumb2

Boy... as you know Jim, I do need the inspiration these days lol.
My Grandson is here this week, with our daughter.
Talking of inspiration, he sees me struggling, he walks around to the car, can't quite open the door yet, and says... this is your seat gwandad...
He is only just 3 lol. Aannndd it doesn't really get mucchhh better thann thattt.

Fresh MOT on Grandad's Terrano, no advisories, just needed an exhaust rubber hanger at rear and a drivers side outer CV boot :thumb2

It's back at my house now until I valet it, underseal it and get it on eBay, due to all the grief I've had sourcing it, fetching it, working on it, MOT'ing it etc etc, I'm going to be bold with what I'm asking for it.

I'm putting it up for £2800 as to be honest there is worse out there for a lot more money, only comparable 3.0 SWB on eBay at the minute is up for £2890 and is nowhere near as nice as this one :naughty

Flippin heck, I've gone and bought one a few weeks ago too. It'll be a great truck for someone.

That's a tidy motor right there banshee.:thumb2
The gaps between the panels look spot on. Unlike mine :doh that took a little damage to rear corner this week:wasntme

Mate that is a 3k starting price motor if ever there was one, use ebay as last resort.

Ian, what you been doing to your rear :D

The 3 litre has been at my house for just over a week now and I'm going to be sorting a few little niggles out with it before putting up for sale.

Today I started with looking at the exhaust, when you floor the truck, you could hear the turbo whistle but it wasn't the normal whistle that comes from the front downpipe flexi, it seemed to be further back and was more of a "whoooosh". I put a pair of gloves on earlier and put my hand over the tailpipe, I felt little resistance and then within the next few seconds, no pressure at all followed by what sounded like a window being smashed

I shut the engine off and then got under the truck to find that the centre box had exploded with the build up of pressure at the rear of the silencer at the top :doh :doh

I set on removing the centre section and rear section of the exhaust but in honesty the front downpipe has seen better days so I'm going to swap that too :thumb2

I managed to snap the tailpipe from the centre box :doh

I also thought I'd got lucky again and would be able to use the front downpipe that I'd recently just purchased for mine which I couldn't use because I have a non standard Powerflow setup on my Commercial.

Turns out the 3 litre downpipe is different :doh

3 litre old one at the top, newish 2.7tdi one below

Very strange, it's like when you leave that perfect gap between a window in a car and it starts whistling at a certain speed, you know what I mean?

It's been a couple or three weeks now. Better start looking for a new one:augie
