About 5 miles from me is a army base thingy and they have been doing training exercises their as they do yearly, now I found out that its getting turned into a fulltime boot camp where the troops will train or somthing, almost like a school, so we've got army helicopters flying over and big 6x6s and 8x8s driving around, pretty awesome to say the least, luckily its far enough away that its not annoying, so a win win , love the rigs and equipment they have, all rather smart:thumb2 will put up some pics of the base as a managed to get some

Ryan, write a polite letter to the CO they'll most likely give you a guided tour you been a local as it's good PR. I very much doubt you were undetected they just chose not to react unless you got too close. Try and go as an invited guest they'll treat you like royalty. Explain you are interested in joining up they'll be pleased to show you around I'm sure mate. You never know you may even decide you want to join em so you can play with their toys.

went again today with my mate on the bikes, had a look around, taken the bikes down the runway:naughty also got a bullet that i turned into a keying for my T2:thumb2, super nice chaps, both my mate and i have a strong interest in military vehicles and equipment, i was also told where i can get ex MOD stuff cheap :naughty:naughty

decided i was a 4x4 and could cross a nearby river, got to give my bike credit, even with the current pushing it sideways, it made it through!

nice pictures of the base/range how the hell did you get so close without being arrested any time ive been there when there is an exercise on you cannt go along the beach let alone wander around on the base
