Sorry have been a bit slow to reply ... looking for a new job :roll:

as long as you guys are happy, I'm ok with whatever :lol: you ok to still come and get me Dinky? ... I have a nice fruit cake to bring with me and might even russle up some fudge for the trip too (no mince pies they were finished of on the 30th) :!:

Dad will be collecting me around 4/5pm ish as I have to be back in Sheffield for a 21st Birthday party no later than 630pm (or I will end up getting linched from my friends and end up the NFMOC singleton for life)

Sorry I can't make this one folks. I'm under the cosh to finish off bug fixes and changes to the code for migrating data from the GLASS Wayfinder system to Trailwise by the end of the month, as we're hoping to do a complete code freeze and move into the next phase of testing.

mine goes up no problem with A/Ts on

One thing to remember is that Patrols are around 6 inches wider than a Terrano (the rear track is actually nearly 8 inches wider!!!), so it's wheels aren't in the same place. There are one or two spots at the edges of the track that are a mass of tree roots which are *very* slippery when wet. A Terrano would probably normally avoid those.

I'm still not sure that the Bridgestone road tyres on mine contributed to it getting stuck on Leeside first time out with the club. Patrol drivers do need to take care whatever kind of tyres they're on - a bit more momentum in low 2nd and it shouldn't be a problem. Don't try to trickle up in low 1st, you are too wide and have too much torque at the wheels to clear some of the tree roots easily if they are very wet - even with the rear diff locked.
