Having problem sorting why the abs light remains on.Have checked fuses and all sensors with ohms meter and dc to check if generating current when wheel rotated.I do have an electronic ticking noise when moving off,the same noise is produced when abs comes in (still appears to work),is it time to remove the bulb? :? :?

It is probabaly a faulty front sensor they can test ok but if you wiggle the wires around it will go open circuit. the cables break up and fails its very easy to replace the cable if you can solder look back through some older posts.

Dont remove the bulb it will be registered with the dvla computer as having abs and will fail if the bulb is removed

abs lamp

Front sensors give the same reading, even bending the cables cannot get open circuit.I have again tried this tonight having read previous posts. :(

try testing the sensors at the abs pump look at the wiring colours at the plugs and trace them at the abs pump.
The other thing that it could be is a fault with the motion sensor under the passenger seat

Will pin out at abs pump and investigate for clicking noise under seat area, watch this space....

I paid £20 and got my local experts to plug in their ABS fault computer, answer in 5mins. RH front sensor, £78 from motor factors, just take great care removing attaching bolts. Good luck.

Got diagnostic of right front open circuit. From previous attempts i was convinced the sensor and integral wiring was okay Turned attention to loom from plug at osf to abs module,2 wires pink and blue,on bulkhead next to abs module is an 8 way plug, (2 per corner), 2 of the wires were pink and blue...., pinned them out pink ok, blue open circuit.bingo.btw,did not bother cutting the loom open, simply ran alink wire of same gauge and left it at that. THANK YOU to all who replied.
