Just got back in it again after work, how nice it is to get home and see what I'm doing in daylight without having to put a LED head torch on  They are only going to get lighter too, so get those projects on the go boys :naughty

I'm really happy that I went for a light colour on the paint, going to crack on with some more painting this evening :)

You will find the "Throw out Corner" in Ikea is your friend when doing modifications to the caravan. A lot of their cabinet shelves are light weight, with hollow cores, ideal for making shelves in the caravan, and the backs of their wardrobes, which are 2x 8ft, x 2ft, 3mm MDF, folded in half lengthways, so basically 8ft x 4ft, sell for £2.

Good tip, the egg box type interiors are really tough, lightweight, but keep away from damp and coffee spills, if a coffee cup is placed on top, with a wet ring...it soon damages the surface.

Good point, I did not think about that, as I normally cover it in sticky back vinyl, to get it to match the caravan wood work.

Looking good

I repapered a Cavan ceiling today and replaced the back

Welcome to the ABI club mate, Ive got a 1988 Globetrotter 4 berth which was suffering from a damp rear end. One refit later and its the best thing ever for getting away. Will have to meet up for a laning trip / holiday ;).

Couple of pics

A tip from me is put a couple of these sort of things in, especially if your working in it in the cold weather mate, and prop fridge and freezer doors open :thumbs

Luke1987, those pics you put up are great, I can't wait to hitch mine up, get away and chill out in the sunshine, ahh life :D:lol

Cheers :) that was May bank holiday last year at Warton near Blackpool, It was absolutely gorgeous. Caravan, Beer, BBQ thats what I call relaxation.

I feel a forum laning tin tent rally or FLTTR for short coming on

I'm going to be going out in mine as soon as it's done :thumb2

Hopefully should be taking it laning when we're out in Shropshire again soon.

I've got a bit pee'd off today with the caravan and feel like I've gone backwards rather than forwards :(

I decided that I wasn't doing a propper job and wanted to do a floor up re-build from the start, so today I decided to rip out all of the cupboards and interior.

They will all be sanded down and painted, also giving me room to paint the walls and ceiling better.

Then I uncovered the wiring, feel like I want to fit all this in some sort of enclosure? Whilst I have access to the wiring and the floor I'm going to install some new power sockets with built in USB etc etc
