Ok just done my first long trip in the t2:):thumbs

Had to go away for my job but took the t2 this time:eek:

1995 t2 95,000 on the clock a bit more now:lol

I loved it so smooth like sitting in an arm chair and no problems:thumbs

Cost abit more than the polo but well worth it.:)
The 4x4 is still working fine thanks to you guys:thumbs

Yes Adz the T2 Is great just got to have faith in the old girl:lol:lol

Its great on the land and now I know its great on a trip:thumbs

Just hope it gets through its MOT without too much expence:) fingers crossed

now its looked after alot better im sure it will be OK

I cant remember, do yo uhave 7 seats?? or just the big boot?

Hay Adz, why you go to Wales so much then??

Willow, I love driving my T2 on decent trips. You just need to get in a certain frame of mind :D

I've just done Chelmsford and back (600 miles) last week in an 08 Vectra sri with all the bells and whistles. Its well fast but to be honest in all the heavy traffic makes no odds and the armchairs , air con and 6 cd changer in my T2 are far better :thumb2:thumb2

Do the MOT the way I do, deal with all the obvious things you can fathom out then lob it in for test as a type of diagnostic service :lol

Good luck

I left my third row of seats folded up and the dog cage in the back. The tester never did anything to check the third row on mine Wendy.

Thanks Jim I was going to take my seats out as I dont use them at the back. I think I will )

Basically with regards to the third row if it aint there it cant be tested. If it is they should look at it :augie (thats from an ex mot'er now a vosa examiner :thumb2 ) I was a bit concerned in case I got a fail because they weren't there and the belts that were couldn't be tested.

I was worried as the docs say 7 seater but I leave the third row permanently out but the inertia reels are still there................confused :confused::confused::confused:.....I was.

I left the third row out for MOT got no comments but the boot liner and my junk had been moved out of the way so I guess he checked general condition and operation of what was there though not use because he couldnt

If you really don't use your third row of seats, (i) it makes a great shed seat (!), and (ii) its dead easy to remove the seat belts - just take out the one visible bolt on each and cut the belt, the rest will retract into the boot sides.

You can also remove the two floor mountings easily, just two bolts on each I think and they go into an internal void so not open to the air below....thats if you want them out of the way..!
