which os map covers these areas?
ill pick one up at the weekend
ill also get a flat pack bbq and instant charcoal:D
ill probably be camping in the florida region on the Friday and move upto Snowdonia on the sunday evening or Monday morning

I will be staying at woodlands campsite. looks good, bang on location and a good price too... and I can wear my little un out doing the devils bridge walk too....
I will be booking that later

We've taken standard terranos and 4x4s on strata and nant y moch before. It's pretty easy and we can guide you on any technical parts.

Wales gets more extreme when the weather is bad, unlikely in the summer.

Will find out os map numbers for you, but not 100% essential.

Also strata florida could end up being closed in the next few years. Nant-y-moch, another very scenic greenlane is about to be totally changed with a windfarm which will start being built in 1-2 years.

Hope everyone is up for this? Just spent today fixing a few bits ready for next weekend.

Looking forward guiding newcomers to some of the best lanes In the uk.

Yerp I'm up for it but the Black Pearl may not be :lol
Trol time :naughty

OK looks like we will be coming, intend to drive down Friday and stay B & B near Strata, will CB be any use? if so have not got one so can anybody recommend a hand held good enough for the job, looking forward to meeting you all, Rick

Sounds good, I will not know until nearer the time if I can make it or not, heard so much about Strata but want to see it for myself and cos of the distance will have to come in a road going motor LWB, so not the best and no winch!!!!! the ultimate get out, but I will bring my driving skills, Rick

Should be a problem mate, I done it in my terrano, no probs, terrano are good strong vehicles and do it with ease

Got some 31 x 10.5 R15's on alloys going to see if they will fit, for the weekend, if not might be up for grabs, Rick

Any midland handheld will do. I personally would buy new.

Are these trips okay for a standard truck and fairly inexperienced ( in off roading ) driver? I would love to come sling on one but worried as Mav is my daily car and would I hold everyone up by my lack of knowledge?

OK all sorted, booked in at the Black Lion Strata, and this is the motor I will be using, sporting its new 31's, while I had the wheels of found a bit of play in the NS TRE and also the main link arm so nicked the whole lot from my scrapper Oh and finally fitted the idler bushes I got from makeitfit, Rick

This is my regular tow motor, the one on the right is the wifes Mk2, I just fitted two front wings and front bumper as they were shot, they were getting that way when I bought it 3 years ago for £500 but the foam filler and gaffer tape fell out so thought it time to fit the perfect wings from my scrapper that have been in the barn ready painted for the past year or so, but now I need to cut the front bumper a bit to clear the 31's just fitted, and maybe a bit of hammer on the lower bracket, Rick
