So MOT coming up soon and I know my front 2 tyres are mangled and they will fail due to gashes and wear

I'm currently running BF Goodrich A/T 31 10.50 R15's, the two rears are perfect, so here's my situation

Do I spend £120 ish on 2 new BF's or replace all 4 with some £80 - £90 ish Muds?

As you'll be able to see I've got some Nexen's for sale in the Classifieds section which don't seem to be doing very well but I'm going to put them on eBay soon and also might put the 2 decent BF's on there as well to fund a new set.

What do you guy's recommend? I'm stumped

Also what is 31 10.50 R15 in English?

Does that equate to 235 75 R15?

cooper stts . did I mention ive got sum?:D
just depends on what you do with your truck.
bfs great and last longer on the road pretty dam good off.
but I wanted MUD As I want to go mud hunting:D

Cooper stt

They are a great all rounder

Classed as mud but they are more of an aggressive a/t tyre

Believe me the only tyres that are mud tyres are insa turbo special tracks and similar

How much you after mate?

sorry worded that wrong.
There not for sale.
I meant Ive just had some fitted.
And yes after doing a few miles on them there brill.
the road noise is minimal just a nice gentle hummmmm.
I was told they would do 30k miles which will last me 2 years.
not tried them off road yet as my mum wouldn't of liked it today.

a lot.
£850 quid.
but that was with 5 new steel rims 4 cooper stts and one maxxis buckshot mudder plus some grinding and hammering that was needed to the body work to make them fit.
not sure of price of just the tyre.
But the bloke I went too knows his stuff and is very helpful.
hes based in Nottingham and another guy who was having his truck done was all the way from Conway just because he knows his job so well.
jcs wheels and tyres..
07505 105027 his number

That's where I got mine mate, spot on is Charles :)

could spread cost at a push by moving good at to front, then new muds on rear
where the lsd will make 'em work. not ideal but if cash is short, and when isnt it....

If your wanting to go mud hunting special tracks all the way, i have 285's on mine and wont have anything else now. unless some lovely fedima's or simex come available at right price but its still same tread pattern.

Jcs is the company to see for tyres! There great!

Tyres direct is the cheapest for rim & tyre combos. JCS is expensive.

try addison tyres in tipton banshee, when you take delivery, fitting balan singh into account they aint bad on mud prices.

If you'd be happy rolling a remold, I came across these today (not literally!): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-TYRES-2...pect+Ratio:75|Diameter:15&hash=item3cd1a5096a

Dunno much about Marix quality though, but that's much cheapness to get through a year or two's MoT.

I've just had these fitted to my new steel rims. One of them balanced up ok, one got close, but two needed 195g on each side of the wheel:eek::doh:eek:
I got my mate to put 90g on each side and I've chucked them on the rear :augie
I've got a lwb and vibrations don't feel too bad but I've not been over 70mph. I travelled around 50 miles at 65mph without any complaints from my lift shares :sly:lol
I'm looking into the beads that you put into the tyre to balance the wheels now.
I've just read this link
