Today is a good day
My poorly clutch is coming out and a shiny new 3.0 litre version is going in :D
I'll do some pics when the flywheel shows itself :sly Should be out tomorrow :thumbs
Watch this space...................

Excellant News!!!!

I found with mine that I had to re-drill the flywheel for different bolt holes of the 3.0 cover, but it would seem for some 2.7's this is NOT required.

I've not got the 3.0l clutch to slip yet and pedal pressure is the same as the 2.7's....

It's a superb upgrade.

I like good prices :D Fez,I found a top bloke who did the job for 200quid cash :sly He's my new best friend

good price that, you still out sat? Also do you still want me to send that headlight surround??

Dont post the headlight thing, looks like we'll be breaking the truck after all:doh
Not sure about Sat either, it's the crimbo silly season and there just aint enough hours at the mo :surrender

Just been looking into this as I want to be prepared for when my clutch goes. 150,000 one clutch as far as I can see is good going in my opinion :thumb2

I've just found the specs of the 2.7 Borg and Beck Clutch and the 3.0 and there are some slight measurement differences

3.0 Clutch

260mm Spline OD: 26.35mm Spline ID: 23.1mm Splines: 24

Diameter: 260mm
Number of Splines: 24
Spline Inner Diameter: 23.1mm
Spline Outer Diameter: 26.35mm

2.7 Clutch

250mm Spline OD: 25.6mm Spline ID: 23mm Splines: 24

Diameter: 250mm
Number of Splines: 24
Spline Inner Diameter: 23mm
Spline Outer Diameter: 25.6mm

Can we say 100% that the 3.0 clutch goes straight on the 2.7 with no mods needed? Last think I want to hear when the gearbox is off is that it's not going to work

Also poor show makeitfit, you promised pictures and didn't deliver, this isn't the first thread I've seen this either :bobby:

I get busy :augie
Obviously it fitted on mine but technically you should resurface the flywheel so the friction plate is on pure flat surface. On mine I decided that the exrta 5mm or so of bigger friction plate will soon bed in on the rougher flywheel bit . IF you do need to modify anything it's easy to take the flywheel off too :thumb2
