Is 10mm really going to make any noticeable difference? Especally with the backlash you are introducing with the difference in the spline sizes and the snagging from the uneven flywheel wear.

I have never found an issue that would make me feel I need a stronger clutch either.

Me and Pete push more power than you :naughty

If I turn my power chip to it's maximum setting my clutch slips and Pete injects LPG for extra horsies, the 3ltr has more BHP as standard and the fact that the clutch plate is slightly bigger means it must offer some benefit otherwise they would have used the same clutch plates as the 2.7 :nenau

Clutch slip is something my Monaro suffers from. It's piggin annoying. We put LS7 clutches in to solve the problem. I'm pushing way too much for mine
Banshee, does the clutch have the same feel? The LS7 does have the same feel as a standard one in the Monaro.

Couldn't tell you mate as I've not had to change my clutch yet but Pete should be able to answer that :thumb2

Come on Pete, where are you :D

Been working on the Black Pearl innit :D
3ltr clutch needed for over 150 bhp. It feels the same to me :thumbs
I learned of this mod from a previous member on here who was running over 200 bhp :naughty
That'll do me nicely

How was he getting that Pete

Stand alone aftermarket ECU Modded turbo ( may have been VV I cant remember) Tidy exhaust and fancy injectors ring bells ?

Yeah most of that.. we maxxed it out at 190 as the 3.0 clutch was slipping again from the 360+ nm of torque, oh and we lifted the head and burst the gasket..... So it was looking at reducing the CR with a shed load of machining to go any further. It was silly fast and woefully under geared, so I was looking at axle ratios and all sorts. Just too much work...
