Thanks Rick, I remember the radiator in the back door write up, I will look it up

OK the Shogun 3.2 alt arrived today, looks to me like it should fit straight on but pulley is a bit small and double belt, being small will not be good for belt traction, so will be looking to see if T2 pulley will fit, which I think is larger, anyway keep an eye on this as a bit busy right now with water probs, Rick

Any more progress with this one Rick as my Alternator is really starting to make a racket now and rather than replace for another 70a standard T2 one I'd like to do the 125a Mod in one go and have it done with :thumb2

Also interested in a better amped one that's a straight swap. More for my stereo system than anything.

alternator is still sitting on my bench, not had time to look at it properly yet but do not think it will just fall on as the lugs are different, may just mean some spacers but as said no time now as on top of all else the Mrs T2 is up for mot it is on the hoist as we speak got a sheared bolt needs drilling out and Mrs needs it at 3pm, just had a bowl of soup as is cold standing under motor, Rick

Have you seen his mobile number? 07 and ending in 7, very odd, Rick

I did spot that, just means he's probably a small business and can't afford to waste time on the phones and didn't want to provide a phone number.

He's got 11,000+ reviews and 100% positive feedback?

I might drop him a message first and see what type of response I get

Hold fire before everyone starts ordering, that one will not fit the TD27 as it's for the older QD322 engine, we need one for a QD32ETi R50

Bringing this one back as I intend on upgrading my alternator whilst the truck is off the road currently being rebuilt slower than it takes to grow a bonsai tree :doh

Pretty sure after the tedious amounts of research I've been doing that these are the right alternators that will bolt straight onto the TD27

I'm waiting back for a response from both companies on the warranty front, after all the sh*t I've had with Milners in the past, I've learned to question the warranty on parts now.......

And for any of you not familiar with that story......

Anything you buy from Milner OFF ROAD with warranty is immediately invalidated should you use said part "OFF ROAD" :doh :flush:

May their years be numbered :p

Stopped using them when they shafted me with parts that did not fit and expected me to return them at my own cost! Would not refund me unless I returned them, Thing is they were just a set of belts, No more than £15 value :banghead:

Yep, I've had that one too

The best one for me was when I ordered a steering idler for my Maverick years and years ago and the holes didn't line up with the chassis!!!!!!

I rang up and requested that I was sent a new one to be told that they expected me to elongate the holes with a drill to make it fit :flush:

Spoke to these guys on the phone yesterday, they were very nice and the gent I spoke to laughed his socks off when I told him the reason I was asking for warranty limitations, he couldn't believe the tricks Milners had played previous.

The lad on the phone said that to settle my mind, they would honour the warranty in writing for 5 years, for off road use, on an a different engine as long as I can get a "signed" photographic report from a garage stating that the alternator has been fitted correctly :thumb2

That will do me for a 5 year no quibble warranty thank you :clap
