    Crank Position sensor.

Well, I bit the bullet and got the Audi sensor for £9.99 off Ebay. Wired it up as suggested in the Tech section. Unbelievable difference to the car. Full power all the time, no stuttering or power loss or surges, no warning light and it goes like stink. It took me an hour to cut and file a Steel...

    CPS problems again.

Cheers guys. That Audi sensor fix looks cheap. I read about it somewhere as well. What about changing the connector? Anyone know the wiring combo of both the Audi and the Terrano? I'm going to get one anyway. Better that than 200 quid right away.

    CPS problems again.

I intend to get to the bottom of it. This is a great car for my dogs and for being out in the sticks where I live. When it goes well, I love it. I'm just not keen on not knowing what to try next. I want to replace the CPS with a new one anyway, so that will rule out the error codes I get. I have...

    CPS problems again.

I'm starting to dislike this car like no other banger I've ever owned. I took out the Crank Position Sensor, it was clean, but I gave it a good wipe over anyway, reconnected it, played about cleaning and reseating the two earth cables on the battery side of the engine. Amazing result, no EMI...

It's Official -Wife hates her new Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Something not right there. I have had 2 Grand Cherokees (both T reg) and an older Cherokee HO Ltd and they went like the proverbial off a shovel. Took almost everything at the traffic light drag racing and I didn't hang about on A and B roads. All were the 4.0 Ltr version though. They didn't...

    Crank Position sensor.

I did. I'm certain its on the front of the block and is the Hitachi one. Trying to convince parts suppliers that these exist is a joke. The Bosch plug is totally different, but that is the only one that keeps coming up when searching. I'll pop into a dealership when I get a chance, but my...

    Hi.

Thanks. Thanks for the welcome folks. I've only had the Terrano a couple of weeks, so don't have a lot in the way of pics yet. I've been too busy picking fault and trying to work out how to fix it. :) I do like the old bus and it'll be cheaper to run than my 4.0 ltr Grand Cherokee that it...

    Crank Position sensor.

Sensor. My T2 is a 2001 plate, probably manufactured during the changeover 1999 to 2000.

    Crank Position sensor.

Help please guys. I've cleared all the old codes from my 2.7 TDi, and have been left with 1 It's 0407, or 47 - Crankshaft position sensor. From what I've found on the net, it runs from the rightmost connector on the cluster just behind the battery, to the front of the engine block to the right...

    Hi.

Well guys, I hope you will be patient with me. I've got a lot to sort on my new wheels. It's replacing a Jeep 4.0 Grand Cherokee that I put on it's head and broke. It's a tad different driving experience, but I'm getting to like it. Cheers,
