Styles of Bull Bar for Terrano/Maverick

Yeah a custom bar would be the way you want to go. Mine didn't end up that expensive when you compare it to replacing the bumber. I was tired of smashing the front bumper so got a custom one.

Exhaust Manifold for a TD27 Turbo

OK, so let it be. It was either fabricate a complete manifold from scratch, or modify another. I prefer to modify. I call it recycling, good for the planet :lol I just need to make sure the weld will stick to cast iron ok. I'll be in the UK all next week, so will get onto it upon my return...

Exhaust Manifold for a TD27 Turbo

What engines are you guys running, the TD27eti ? If so, anyone got a good picture of the exhaust manifold for one?

    Charge cooler: water to air

Well all I can say is that 18psi is safe. Start sitting above 20 too long and the turbo gets eaten. Really need to have a better dump pipe and exhaust to make it work efficiently. I guess its really how long you sit at full boost. I free-spooled mine for a little while, but watching the boost...

And stops all that mud being splattered around the engine bay. I just switch mine off not, fly through the mud and water and then back on again. Never had an engine bay looking so good after a trip :lol

    Charge cooler: water to air

I've been seriously thinking about the options here. So once I sort out the new exhaust manifold I'll be going with a straight top mount intercooler with fan. Was going to do water-to-air but like to keep water well away from the intake. Especially in a diesel. Plus the benefits didn't justify...

    D21 Terrano from NZ

Cheers guys Yeah we moved back after our daughters were born. So we could bring the kids up with family around them. Those tyres are Maxxis Bighorn MT762 32 x 11.5 x 15. You will find the actual 'true' diameter varies slightly between manufacturers. A mate of mine has the same truck, but 2door...

Exhaust Manifold for a TD27 Turbo

Out of interest, anyone got any pics of the later model TD27 exhaust manifold? Just trying to work out a better flow option before I start slicing something up. TD27 Turbo manifold:

    Body lift help

Not sure if the models are the same, but here is what I did... 1) Remove bottom section of radiator cowling. This will allow the radiator to move up with the body while the viscous fan stays in the same position. 2) Remove driveshaft loop. This will stop you lifting because it is bolted to the...

Cheers Mick, yeah she's taken a bit of work to get there. Latest interesting mod was cutting the viscous fan off the water pump shaft and installing a twin electric fan setup...that was fun :-)

Hahaha, sorry just worked out the dating for the posts. Was a while back :o Not certain about your model, but my 32's ever so slightly touch when turning lock to lock. Has a 2" body and 2" suspension lift. Didn't want to trim the guards and I can go pretty much anywhere, so I'm happy. Even...
