Hi i hope some one can help me. I am mid body lift and can get the rear high enough from the chassis but not the front?? i have taken all the bolts out on the side im doing and nuts off the otherside it only lifts the body about an inch max then wheel comes off the ground?

You got to undo a steering link (I forget the proper terminology), in the engine bay it's a bar that connects the steering wheel to the steering box.

Have you actually broken the seals between all the body mounts? They often stick until persuaded :sly
Are the bolts undone on the other side too ?

Ive had a look and cant see anything holding it. Bugging me now as i need it for work friday morning. Does the front bumper have to come off?

rad stays where it is, Just to keep and eye on the angles of the pipe. Rad cowling does not have the strength to lift the vehicle lol.

It should not stop the passenger side, But you still need to slack the steering thing off. Is your front bumper removed?

rad cowling removed and theres a cap of about an inch between body mounts. yeah all other bolts slack

I'd put a big plank in there and lever it up a bit then :thumbs

ive tried with a scaffold pole lol still nothing. im going to try bumper off tomorrow and try??

yes take the front bumper off you can access the bolts in the wheel arches

Ah :doh I rather assumed you had the bumpers off :augie
Also as you lift the body up, tease out the brake pipes etc as you go :thumbs

yeah had left bumpers on :doh will try get it off in the morning and go from there. thanks everyone

Not sure if the models are the same, but here is what I did...

1) Remove bottom section of radiator cowling. This will allow the radiator to move up with the body while the viscous fan stays in the same position.

2) Remove driveshaft loop. This will stop you lifting because it is bolted to the body and loop runs through the center cross-member.

3) Remove front bumper, as the slots in the body where the bumber mounts pass through are not long enough and will stop you lifting the body.

4) Unbolt and remove all 5 mounts on one side.

5) Loosen all the bolts on the other side so the body will pivot on them when the opposite side is raised.

6) Jack up 1st side and insert lift blocks and bolt loosely into place.
NOTE: 150mm bolt for rear is just enough.

7) Do the same for the other side. and tighten all round.

Once done....

Check the petrol filler pipe has shifted OK with the lift.
Extend/adjust the handbrake cable
You will need to cut and remount the bumpers if you want them to sit in their original positions.
Trim the bottom rubber boot plate of the 4WD selector.
Add blocks to the driveshaft loop mounts and refit.
