    Before I cut it up....

Here's a photo Its almost the same as the link above. But its from a 2,8 2004 manual lwb. Now the thing I'm going to make from it I can buy for £47. So if anyone wants this for £47 they are welcome. So it is 1.4m long x 0.5m wide and is 3.5mm thick. Its non magnetic and weighs in at just...

    Before I cut it up....

This is a 3/4 length tray that fits to the from sump tray. I'll be pulling it out later :eek: and take some photos. From what can see now and what I remember its quite engineered

    Before I cut it up....

Unfortunatley not until tomorrow. Its an aluminium plate that runs from the front of the car, just below the rad to just past the gearbox. I sure it has some cut outs for bits and pieces and its about 5mm thick.

    Before I cut it up....

....and repurpose it.... Do I need the aluminium undertray? Its from a 2004 lwb and I took it off a couple of years ago and never got around to refitting. Currently it is just learn ng against the garage wall. If I don't need to refit it I have a use for elsewhere. Cheers Dave

    Rear LSD oil change?

Mmmmm....how much oil? Edit: Solved!! Only 1.3 ltrs goes in the c200 diff. The Mrs reminded me of the problems that I had with this last time. I managed to get the 2.8 ltrs in by parking g on a slope...we then had issues with the breather pipe dumping excess oil into the chassis ( still, it...

Need a couple of bits and bobs...

Cheers for that Rick I'll wait for an update. I've reseated the seal...and noticed that the black plastic has an open grill so rain etc must be driven in there so I guess its not imperative to get the seal replaced.

Need a couple of bits and bobs...

Morning, Whilst waiting for the LSD I thought I'd give the van a quick once over. Looks like my plastic thermostat housing is starting to give. I can see some hairline fractures. Is the metal part still available? Does anyone have one they want to sell? Also, does the bottom rubber windscreen...

    Rear LSD oil change?

Yes, its one of the many things I miss about the UK. The costs of anything related to cars / vans is a lot heavier here. Sorry Rick more questions So I've mucked about with this before. I used the official Nissan additive cost me a fortune and doesn't seem to have lasted. This time I'll use...

    Rear LSD oil change?

Evening, back again...more problems..... Just jumped in the terrano to take it for a quick spin. I've not used it for quite a while as the Mrs has been running around in it. Went to pull off, slight turn on the wheel and was met with a very loud shuddering grinding noise! Turned the wheel the...

Let's have a chat about steering...

Sorry for the delay... Erm...I had to put it all back together as the ITV ( mot ) was due. Which it passed with 1 advisory on unequal brake pressure. Anyway, ht I did notice was that there was significant elongation / wear on the hole where the stubby drop links fit. I guess that it had...

Let's have a chat about steering...

Holy thread revival Batman!! Hello All, Today I got around to stripping the car down. The lower arm is off and I can see.....nothing. I've checked gaps and, measurements with the right hand side and can see no difference. There is no obvious damage or witness marks. I flipped it over and...

Let's have a chat about steering...

Chaps, so is arm removal the next step? If it is can I remove it without splitting the ball joint? Ie undo the nuts on the arm? Cheers

Let's have a chat about steering...

Yes Banshee, all done but will probably need to be done again when I remove the arm. Just need to know if that is the next step and if it is what's the best way to do it.

Let's have a chat about steering...

I'm back on the case... Summer is over...winter is coming! Which means I need to get into my wood and start chopping down trees. Before that I would like to get to the bottom of getting this pull to the right and get it sorted. So what are my next steps? I have no idea what I should do...

    Poor Repairs

Ah, got you. Because of the 3rd picture I thought the 2nd was taken after the other ring was removed. I hadnt realised it was taken with just the hub cover off. I guess that explains why there is a screw in that ring then. That is indeed pretty pee poor.
