Hi Makefit I have only broken 1 shaft since putting in the Lokka and that was because the car landed funny when going over some very bit tyres. Out of intrest how much are they asking for the stronger shafts.

Hi This is my baby Personally don't spend to much if it is just for off road. You can adjust the front torsion bars but don't go more than 1 inch on the lift, Any higher and you will get problems with the steering and drive shaft angles and you will not get any more articulation. I lifted the...

    Front Locker ?

Shimming the rear diff puts extra pressure on the clutch pack making it harder for it to slip. The up side of this is the car has more traction at the back but the down side is the rear diff does not allow the wheels to turn at different speeds easily making it a nightmare to drive on tarmac as...

    Front Locker ?

Hi Guys I was also stung by customs and excise for an extra £60 so you will need to have the funds ready for this if it gets caught up. The locker is very easy to fit and makes a world of difference all you will need extra is a set if shims so it can be set up correctly. Mine need 0.5mm shims.

    12 volt winch

I agree with extreme-4x4 on this, Winches take a lot of looking after the steel rope needs inspecting after every time you have used it for damage, none of the cheaper ones are watertite so need to be pulled apart and re greased on a regular basis. These winches are dangerous pieces of kit if...
