Also check intercooler for any cracks or damage . How long has it been acting like this ? Would be a bit of a bugger stripping the head off if you have filled up with contaminated fuel and there's water in the fuel tank. Matt.

Had a word with Ian Fenton of Tunit, who had a word with their technical dept. and have been informed by them that the ECU on this model/year is either up by the radio, or in passenger front floorpan. Now as we had the entire dashboard down .... it must be under the carpet !! Matt.

    Renault & Ford co-project

Renault & Ford are working on a joint project to produce a new small car specifically for women. They are combining the CLIO with the TAURUS , and calling it the "CLITAURUS". It comes in pink and the average male thief won't be able to find it, even if someone points him to it !! :naughty :naughty

Now behind the sidepanel of the driver's footwell there was a black box about that size, but Pete recconed it was for the central locking. The receiver for the central locking was up under the dashboard. Matt.

terrano 2 2.7 td smoke and misfire

If I remember correctly , some members had a similar problem not so long ago , and it turned out to be the fuel return pipes that connect the injectors. They could be sucking in a little air. Worth checking, as well as the mini filter in the banjo connection. Matt.
