I have recently fitted a tunit unit ... as has been said, it is adjustable, and gives a lot more "Smiles per miles" . I got mine direct from Tunit ( a refurbished unit) at £290:00 ... new they are £451:00 . The truck now pulls up hills in 4th. instead of having to change down ... a lot more "grunt" in lower revs.
Anyone interested could e-mail Ian Felton on ( [email protected] )
and when refurbished units become available he will drop you an e-mail.
Matt.

how easy was it to fit? or you get it fitted?

Zip you just have to expose the ECU and scotch-connect a few wires into the loom following the Tunit instructions - which are unfortunately bollox for the MkIV.

Solder / heatshrink would be better. Crotch-loks are the work of the devil.

Timbo, can you get hold of those little solder/heatshrink things that look like drinking straws cut to 15mm. I had some that you soldered up by holding a match under them, worked a treat but can't find them round these parts:augie
