    88 degree thermostat

Cheers Pete, that is good to know. I swapped an 82 for an 88 in my TDi and it made quite a difference on the guage. I just wanted to check that it was ok. Hope you are feeling better already and I wish you a speedy recovery, mate. Edit; Thanks Timbo also

    88 degree thermostat

Just a quick question for anyone running a TDi with an 88 degree thermostat. Where does the needle sit on your temp guage under normal running conditions? Cheers! :D

    Suspected attempted wheel theft

Everything for a reason Got it all stripped out today and the halfshaft is ok, so just new studs and wheel nuts needed. However, what the strip down revealed was a bit scarier. The wheel cylinder was leaking badly and I think under heavy braking I would have had serious problems  Just...

    Suspected attempted wheel theft

Driving down the road today, my back wheel parted company with the rest of the vehicle with quite a thump, dumping the n/s rear hub on the tarmac. Upon inspection, the studs are all knackered and the wheel nuts were nowhere to be seen. Got it all recovered and the AA guy, as well as the guy I...

    mini filter, or not?

Been wondering this myself. Is it possible that early TDi's could have been made using engines left over from the TD model run? :nenau
