Hi guys/girls.... the master key on my 2002 T2 (the one with the central locking/alarm button) is so worn now it is not always easy to turn the key :confused::confused:... I have a new spare (chipped but no buttons) which is fine. My question is can I buy just the blade or blade and plastic part...

Did this also a few years back at my last house... a bit of land about 4 foot deep behind my garden fence and a block of garages... so I removed the rotten wooden fence, put up a new bit of fence to block off the gap between my garage and the rest of the block (where the strip of land was) and...

assuming the switch is the same as a later truck you can either buy a new one on e-bay for about £5 or take it apart and clean the contacts... had the same issue with my truck/caravan and it just needed a quick contact clean with a bit of wet/dry paper

I believe they are 2 different animals.... mk 1 has a pipe on 1 side and a direct fitting on the other (pipe bolts straight onto the condenser unit) and the mk2 oneards has 2 pipes that fit via compression fittings (and they exit into different places in relation to the vehicle for picking up...

So just a quick update as not been online for a little while..... red liquid is deffo a leaking power steering pipe so will need to fix that pronto but the 'condenser' (posh name for air con radiator thingy) is leaking :confused: I will remove said item and try to repair it... seems all the use...

blooming air con radiator is leaking :eek::eek:...used it today and when I returned to the truck there was a growing puddle of green stuff underneath...looks like it is coming out the drivers side bottom corner from the actual veins of the radiator? Anyone know if I can take it out and solder up...

I would guess at about 8 and 9??? I must be ok as I ride a motorcycle regularly on the M25 and am still alive :thumb2:thumb2... Also reach for the brake pedal when the wife is driving WAY before she does lol, must be a big dent in the passenger footwell by now !!!. Joking aside as a motorcyclist...

well played about with it on sunday... firstly the compressor clutch would not engage (guess no pressure in system?) so I added some more stuff to it (big refill can from Halfrauds), would guess about 8-9 oz as it was an 18oz can and about half full?.... seems to now be coming out a bit cold and...

The clutch has a second pipe that runs to the rear of the car above the rear axle on the drivers side???? it is a 'damper pipe' to stop noise I assume :nenau:nenau... it feeds from the joining block on the transmission tunnel (underneath the car next to clutch arm) where the flexible pipe goes...

hmmmm.... I will try another test sunday but cannot understand why the guage I put on the filler valve says the pressure is ok, the compressor kicks in (it didnt before the regas a while ago) but no colder??? Also is it normal for the tickover to go up and down a bit when the aircon is on...

i did notice some red oily liquid on the pipes that run across the front of the front cross member under the radiator but thought it was power steering fluid? Also mine is a mk4 I think (2002)...what is a condensor, what does it do and where do I look??? Can feel a session with the workshop...

so do we have any experts out there? Lovely hot day so thought I would use the aircon... guess what?.....no cold air :nenau:nenau.... it was re gassed a little while ago and when I switch it on the compressor is working (it engages and spins up) and the tick over seems to rise and fall every 15...

mine deffo reads 10% too high, says 70 on speedo and 62/3 on sat nav :eek::eek: still helps with the fuel consumption as I think I am doing 70 !!!!

I run mine about 30% svo (veggie oil....£20.35 for 20 ltrs in costco) 70% derv which saves me about £8-10 a fill up so a saving :thumb2:thumb2... I agree about 30 mpg which I seem to get regardless of how hard I try to do better, oh and about 23/24 mpg towing the caravan

hmmmm..... i put additive in mine when I did the oils a few months ago and have always struggled to engage 1st since !!! maybe I need to drain and refill with new???

Mines an 02 reg and has the smaller 1.8 ltr lsd diff :thumb2
