2.7 tdi (2003) is this the right oil Comma LS80W-90 GL-5

and is 3 litres the right amount to buy?

probably not.

You almost certainly have the smaller facelift diff which takes only 1.8 litres as I recall.

But its the right oil. :thumb2

Have a look at the rear of the diff, if it has a bolt on rear cover it is the smaller amount, if it bolts from the front it is the larger, Rick

if it is a limited slip diff then you must use LS oil best is Comma at about £4 litre, Rick

Mines an 02 reg and has the smaller 1.8 ltr lsd diff :thumb2

how do i know if its lsd?

Jack the rear up and turn one wheel if the other goes backwards then you do not have LS if it goes the same way you have LS, Rick

Iv put that in mine, but im being told its the wrong oil and needs to be changed. Its working at the moment but im going to swap it before anything goes wrong.

Don't think GL-4 oil will do for LSD. As far as I can recall it must be GL-5.
