    Matrix NIghtmare

Id prefer to put pins in my eyes lol No in all honesty if anybody close enough to Stoke wanted a hand I'd always try and help. I wanted to dot it as I have driven all last week with the heater bypassed - seriously cold and they have forecast snow so I wanted to be ready?

Spent all yesterday ripping everything out, took photos of everything as I did it for reference. When I took the old housing out it wouldn't budge - the pipes to the matrix had melted into...

Rad weld or no for matrix?

Well at work today I took the pipes off and connected then via some 15mm copper pipe (too be honest I think 15mm is a bit too small a diameter but tightened then on real good). Still getting drips from the matrix but it must be residue as the coolant hasn't moved on my 16 mile journey home, also...

Rad weld or no for matrix?

well just done all of three miles in her and then when I pulled up I shone a torch in the footwell and its like a dripping tap - also warm so its definately the matrix. I take it it makes no diference if your heater is on or off to the amount leaking? Going to order a new matrix now but I gotta...

Rad weld or no for matrix?

My expansion bottle was virtually empty after doing a short trip today with the heaters on so can't think where else it would have gone. I replaced the water pump last year as well as my leaky thermostat housing so dont think the pump has gone again? It could be a coincidence and it has leaked...

    thermostat housing wanted

I admit these are like rocking horse poo for the metal housing. It took me 2 months to finally get one off a vehicle being broken for spares off ebay. Id look at vehickes not just the housing and email them to see if its available. My metal one has been a treat since fitted.

I have a right old squeak when I turn the wheel, seems only when Im backing out of my drive at slow speed but goes away on the open road. Ive oiled everything I can see but I have read there should be two nylon hex caps that cover thee steering stops and these can wear away but to be honest I...
