scotchbright pads are great, use red on repaired areas before priming and gray on clear over base before painting, can use them dry but best used wet so there not so coarse. Thats not the stuff from Tesco We only use a grinder on heavy work shaping metal and such. Use a DA (dual action) sander...

Bucket, water, 800 wet and dry. If you take the paint off down to plastic you will need a plastic primer and then a normal primer to go on top of that. All depends how good and professional you want it to look. illy
