running problem hi, simon if it does look like you have to replace the fuel pipes do the feed and return from tank to engine bay its not hard or expensive and worth it, old pipe will have tiny holes that may not leak fuel but will suck air in i may well have to do my tdi as previos owner only...

hi, lads just put the truck through her mot one of the fails was a frayed drivers seat belt a commen fault it seem,s has anyone done this job. i have a almera belt of same year, 97/98. was the electric pre/tensioner fitted on my tdi.any advice would be most welcome thanks

draglink thanks lads , i think my old mav had one but i have,nt been able to get under the tdi lately [seasonal galloping rot] but the dreaded test is due and i know that was one of the things i was iffy about thanks again lads .

help, can anyone tell me if the draglink from the mk1 and later pickup will fit a 98 tdi thanks

hi, sounds like problem, i had with the mav. the diaphragm on the lift pump was sucking air in .fuel housing tdi will fit, mines a 98 same bracket.

hi mate, I changed both fuel pipes on the mav as one of the lads said start at the tank , accsses under carpet in back, then right too front o/side inner wing where it joins to metal pipe, may as well do it all at once cos those metal ones were made from old bean cans best of luck , oh and wear...

hi, have same prob myself, except no lights at all bought two fobs one 418 other 433 previos owner converted to key and button start.

veg oil I'm glad i asked zippy thats the same system im gonna use, ive got a tdi now the td went last yr thats why i was asking about the renault filter to heat from start and fit a thermostat to h/e to turn off filter heater when hot, i,ll be starting mine when i get the h/e and fuel filter...

civvys problem hi mate; just an add on to all the good advice you;ve had; remove your rad and pressure bottle caps and use a heater [fan etc] to thaw it out dont drive it until you do; good luck.

hi, tyres expand as they get older if you look at tyre wall you,ll see max inflation [usually 55 psi] so you could safely try 32f 36r and how they wear.

hi; all the best advice as usual once youve sorted out what the other lads have suggested I put a drop of slick 50 in my g/box not in diff or transfer box i dont know what effect on them it would have them,I find it keeps the g/box cool and smooth.

hi sorry about takeing so long replying computer took knock, found out it was heater element in fridge it had welded itself to tube fitted new one,sorted.turns out its a common fault thanks again.

no power hi mate if your rev counter is going up but no speed i,d suspect your clutch, i,m having same problem.

clutch THANKS EVERYONE THE CHEAPEST IVE HAD SO FAR IS 350 but i,m not sure she,ll make it down south i dont think im on members map i,ll ask to be put on i,ll check it now.
