T2 running rough no power stailing white smoke when foot down did not think it was going to make it home

should the pump on diesel filter be solid its soft you can press like you are priming this might not be connected

sounds like air getting sucked in..

have a look at the fuel lines, all the way from tank.

pump should be solid yes, but check the filter is tight. might even be worth swapping it. check the pipes that come from it-mine were loose once and it didnt look like they were.

leak

back end wet were wheel arch is full of cold but think its diesel I have cut out old pipe before and changed for rubber, might put longer rubber pipe in from tank past wheel arch is rubber ok and what size is the pipe ie one smaller than the other 8mm 6mm poss

mine is rubber, but i dont know what size-its chunky though, much bigger than the original pipes...

mine are rubber, back to front. must have been done years ago, but they are in as new condition still, just a bit dirty, so worth doing

has the check engine/mil light lit up as i see you have the tdi

If it is a fuel pipe leak check workshop guide I made in the download section. I went straight to the tank. Lessconnetions then.

thanks

No water

its been struggling to start taking longer but i have had problem with glow plug connector so kept thinking glow plugs

but i think its air, wheel arch area wet, pipe size is 8mm and 6mm for pipe found a download for SWB have change some before but will do the job right by taking it past the wheel arch down the chassis leg

hi mate, I changed both fuel pipes on the mav as one of the lads said start at the tank , accsses under carpet in back, then right too front o/side inner wing where it joins to metal pipe, may as well do it all at once cos those metal ones were made from old bean cans best of luck , oh and wear thermal undies.brrrr.

thanks

All done
Rubber 6mm & 8mm fitted from tank found some good metal used 5 foot each run
cost £12.00 its the area near wheel arch rest is ok.it must have been leaking a couple of weeks area just wet no drips on drive,Easy job but when it happens you think T2 is knackard head gone injectors maff.
