Mine has been coming on for years. Rev counter stops but give it a rev and all is well again for a day or two.

Fitted a new one a while back but died after two days. Now before I fit another would anything else be killing them?

Disconnected mine on one side after advice from a member on here. Just one nut to re fit for mot.

I was chatting with him on Facebook a few weeks ago when he said someone had told him he wasn't a real gypsy. I said I agreed as in al the years I'd known him he hadn't once offered to tarmac my drive. Made him laugh said he would come trim my conifers :lol funny guy will miss him. Brian

Got exactly the same with mine at the moment. Changed starter months ago but broke down again the next day. Have since changed battery , ignition, battery clamps and checked every earth and connector. Still cranks slow , looks like new starter my be bo!!oxed. Think something else may be wrong...

Thanks Rick , have checked the starter which is dry . Must be a coincidence. Last time I used the car I had to leave it running all day so it did get very hot. Brian

Wondering if this is linked with the problem im having with starting. Car will only crank very slowly, like a flat battery but its not. New battery , starter, ,clamps. All earths checked. Almost like engine really tight !!
