This has been playing on my mind all night and two things have become apparent to me
1. As a tribute I'm going to purchase his book and have a good read of it, still available on Amazon IIRC
2. When the time is right, and things have settled down at home, should we make contact with the family and make them aware of all the posts he has made on here?
He had nearly 8000 posts, the family may not be aware that he came here so often and it may be comforting for them to come on here and read some of the enjoyment he had with us first hand through the good times and the bad :nenau
Tell me if that's distasteful but that's what I'd like if I ever passed on, touch wood I don't any time soon, I'm still in my 20's
Just bought Part 1 & 2.... sadly there will be no more.I will be purchasing both books this evening for my kindle :thumbs

I have been in touch with his wife, and older daughter. They have my offer of support, I know we will all do what we can.
I have asked Katie to let me know of the funeral arrangements, I'll forward this.
Please do have a look at the books, proud to say I helped with the proof reading,
indeed we were about 1/3 way through book 3 I do hope it can be continued at some
point when things are a little calmer for the family it would be a fitting tribute to him.
I have just read this and am utterly stunned. I haven't been on for a few days and was just working my way down the posts.
What a total shocker, He always had good advice and would defend the traveler and gypsy way of life when some one dissed or made a wrong comment on here.
I made that mistake once and was swiftly reminded by Chris of my error, but not in an aggressive or nasty way, just a nudge in the right direction.
I think this club has lost a really genuine guy
So sad
:rose
I was chatting with him on Facebook a few weeks ago when he said someone had told him he wasn't a real gypsy. I said I agreed as in al the years I'd known him he hadn't once offered to tarmac my drive. Made him laugh said he would come trim my conifers :lol funny guy will miss him.
Brian
