Well that's Foxy got her ticket for the next year :D

... and the garage only charged £35 labour for fitting the new offside drop link on the rear ARB, could have been a lot worse! (was kicking myself for haveing to pay for them to do it as I wouldn't have had time this weekend to do it myself :doh).

Four advisories:-

Offside lower axle swivel joint has slight movement;

Offside upper axle swivel joint has slight movement;

Offside front wheel bearing has slight play; and

Rear ARB 'D' bushes have slight play.

Least I'll only have to remove one wheel to deal with the first three...

... and I have a feeling the rear ARB will have vanished before the next MOT :augie

Question for the guys that have done this already though is - does it affect the MOT? :nenau

i think the outcome really was based on the mot tester at the end of the day, proper or hungover/lazy so hopefully you get a friday afternoon or saturday morning one :thumb2

All the front end advisories you have are easily sorted with simple adjustments. The bearings can be tweaked up a bit . The swivel bearings probably just need a shim or two taking out.
ARBs off technically is a fail, but flip a coin mate :augie
Mine has passed for years but no g/tee.
If I were you I'd take them off and store them till next mot then refit :naughty

My mav and 90 passed a few times without. As pete said flip of the coin!

Disconnected mine on one side after advice from a member on here. Just one nut to re fit for mot.

Mine just went through no problem, was not intended, but previous owner had cut front ARB balls off with a disk cutter and cut half the ARB as well, did not find out till hours before test, so just removed complete bar, what is not there they cannot test seems to be the rule, passed anyway, Rick

Done some checking and the statement from VOSA is "Where a car has been extensively modified or converted, certain Reasons for Rejection such as 'components missing where fitted as standard' should not be applied" so if it's clearly modded up as an offroader you're more likely to be allowed it, although sounds like it's in the opinion of the tester :nenau

Reckon once I get a 2" lift on it I'll be ok, but I'm going to try getting through next year without the ARB either way and see how it goes. Hopefully the winch bumper and whatever else I have fitted by then will be enough to convince the tester :rolleyes:

never had a mention of rear arb not being fitted and that from 2 different garages.
got and advisory once about the suspension lift.
