    cleaning intercooler

    I did mine recently and filled it with petrol and left to soak for a while then emptied and refilled. I did this a couple of times until the fluid coming back out was clean, then just left it for an hour or two on its end, so any leftover would either drip out or evaporate.

    right....todays update... i checked the connector at the top of the engine block, according to the download manual and there is power where it should be, i then noticed there are two wires that go to the solonoid; a black/ white wire that is fastened to the top with a little nut and an orange...

    Been looking at the download manual and apparently there is a 20amp fuse linked with this cut off solonoid....any ideas where it may be?

    Hi and welcome to the forum. I would start by checking the rear propshaft UJ. Climb underneath and grab the joint, if there is any movement it will need replacing. I did a write up on this a little while ago in the down loads section

    If I had a problem with either of them I wasnt aware if it... I will try connect it in the morning and let you know what happens... If...and as you say IF it works would it be worth rigging it up on a switch so I can use it almost like a fuel on and off switch, cos I guess if its left live...

    Ok...return pipe removed, spun engine over and fuel trickled out of the return pipe on the IP, but only a very small amount... So do we think its immobiliser based...like you say it thinks its being stolen perhaps? So what do I do? Can this possibly all be linked to my back pressure issue??

    So...I whipped wheel off climbed under and between the chassis and inner wing, located IP solonoid with a single wire attached with a little nut. Checked with test metre and there is no power showing, however, when I turn ignition on there does seem to be a click from somewhere...if that makes...
