you sure the bulbs you are using are suitable for a dimmer switch, you mentioned they must be dimmable so assuming you have a dimmer switch fitted maybe that is causing problems with surges

I get what your saying as the point that the bolts go though in theory should not see water, but compared to last night the sunroof was dripping with condensation where as tonight its as dry as a bone, may not have cured the leaks completly but its seems to have made some difference, wont know...

I got a similar problem with my sunroof and what I've found is where the motor is bolted though there is a gasket, one side the bolt was loose so tightend it up and its now compressing the gasket, hopefully that has solved my problem
