Dripping Sunroof...

I get what your saying as the point that the bolts go though in theory should not see water, but compared to last night the sunroof was dripping with condensation where as tonight its as dry as a bone, may not have cured the leaks completly but its seems to have made some difference, wont know till it rains a bit more

My wife was hoping when we were looking for a T2 we would get one with a sunroof:augie I wasn't bothered & after reading up on this subject again i'm glad ours hasn't got one

think some of drips could be condensation as opposed to direct leaks, the damp in car can
gather in roof glass when gets warm.

going to look at a dehumidifer, though its not best weather for one so maybe try a fan heater
in wet areas.

We have one of those very low wattage electric blankets for pets, which are waterproof, so I put it under the drivers carpet, between the metal and the underlay, and then left the sun roof cracked. It has dried out a treat, took about 6 days.

I made the mistake of not leaving the roof open at the start, and ended up with the windscreen dripping in water, but just the smallest gap at the back of the roof has cured that with out letting any water in.

I think Lidl's had them in the other day.
