pre 2004 xtrails are di engines which are nissan built , not quite as powerful as cci but much more reliable not got turbo/intercooler probs of dci + if your careful can return 40mpg also doesnt use 5/30 oil is 10/40 so service is cheaper just dont go to A nissan garage :thumb2

All the lanes are easy drive none scratching and suitable for standard road going trucks. Are they easy enough for A xtrail on road tyres or is that pushing the realms of possibility :lol

Nothing wrong with the P6 rover V8 for A bit of grunt tr7 was A nightmare on wheels though you said something about space the little fiats will nearly all need lots of welding if theres enough left to weld about the same as the alfa sud for rot & you always have fiats fabled electrics:lol

I dont know if you have sorted this problem yet but the workshop manual download on this site has A 05 model which apart from engine all else is pretty much the same I found it great for checking my brakes prior to doing the rears this last week :thumbs

Great thread ,:clap still prefer the silver for the axles though thats personal as you cant see anything on black if you have leaks tends to show better on silver from previous rebuilds when time + pennies more available :thumbs
