    Pay and play?

Hi guys, I want to take my car to a pay and play site for the day next weekend, but I'm really struggling to find any. Can anyone recommend anywhere decent? I'm in high wycombe, but anywhere as far north as Birmingham would be fine. Cheers in advance Matt

    load weight

Yeh I can confirm roof bars can take a lot more, I had ten sheets of plasterboard on mine, only realised when I got home they were 25kg each and the bars were only rated to 50kg.

    Car Park

Don't underestimate the amount of material you will need to dispose of once you start digging down. I started to dig our drive out (albeit on a slope) thinking a couple of 1 tonne skip bags would do.......37 tonnes later and I'm not finished yet! On the plus side I haven't needed a gym membership!

    List your cars

Much smaller list for me too... Fiat seicento sporting abarth (first car) - because it was more interesting than the alternative corsage & fiestas Mk2 Toyota MR2 2.0 GT because at 21 it was the fastest and most exotic thing I could insure on a part time waitering job! Alfa romeo GTV 3.0 v6...

    Aerial on roof

If it was me I wouldn't be trying to use a cb ariel designed for <30mhz for either fm (88-108mhz)or dab (217-230mhz) unless as a temporary measure for example if an Ariel got broken the cb ariel should be better than no ariel at all. I would imagine an fm ariel would work quite well for dab and...

LWB terrano stainless side steps for sale

Am I the only one who finds side steps really useful??? Maybe its just me that always seems to have stuff on my roof bars? Or maybe I'm just a shortarse and the rest of you can reach easily? :lol :lol

CB Antenna - Bullbar or Gutter Mount?

Ah ok, I think we have different meanings of the term dipole! Why r they illegal? And what freqs does cb work over? I'm getting intrigued by the idea of cb in the car now! Lol

CB Antenna - Bullbar or Gutter Mount?

Excuse my lack of knowledge of cb radio kit, are dipole versions of cb antennas not available? They would be far less susceptible to variation in mounting position?

CB Antenna - Bullbar or Gutter Mount?

As long as there's a good electrical contact to the wing the wing should act as a good groundplane. It'll only be a problem if the mount is electrically isolated from the wing itself.

CB Antenna - Bullbar or Gutter Mount?

Roof mount every time for me. Assuming the antenna is a monopole it will have better match and more favourable radiation pattern in both azimuth and elevation if it has a decent groundplane. (I'm not a cb man though, just work with antennas)-so practicalities of bumper mount might be more...

    Nice patrol here

Do we know what the max bid was before he ended the auction, was just over 2k when I last looked at it

    pathfinder

I thought those issues were with the old 2.5di engine? I think the pathfinder (and New Navara d40) have the same 2,5dci engine. My mate has the Navara, very huge, but a great piece of kit, I'd assume the pathfinder to be the same only with softer suspension not the leafsprings of the Navara...

    Navara/pathfinder mpg thoughts

Forgot to mention he's now even considering swapping to a passat estate because the total costs are more than they expected so we have a duty to try to keep him in his 4x4 if we can help his costs by sorting out the mpg at least!

    Navara/pathfinder mpg thoughts

Hi all, asking this on behalf of my mate who's bought a d40 Navara. I'm convinced it's not running right cos it doesn't pull anything like my t2 and throng seems low to me. He's getting low 20's round town and struggling to break 25 to the gallon on long motorway journeys. The cars not loaded up...

    2.4 petrol has to go

On this forum I'd say £900 isn't too much because we all know how knowledgable you are on these cars , so, if I was in the market for car car I'd strongly consider it, obviously that won't be the case on eBay though because potential buyers won't know you. That said I wonder if the fact it's a...

    thoughts

Yes Marlow really not good, the river is in many of the homes, but the frightening thing is the water coming up through the drains, another 20-30cm and there will be hundreds more homes under. Our old work now have a foot of water over the car park. Eek

    Been a little busy

My wife had a little corolla 1.3, amazing little car, cost nothing to run, never failed an mot in 6 years ownership. But I did have to put a new battery in which I was rather disgruntled by since the original was only 13 years old lol. Would highly recommend to anyone for good honest cheap motoring
