    Thanks all I did have to put about 1ltr of battery water in a couple of weeks back as it wasn't even covering any of the plates when I looked(god knows how long it had been like it so the damage could already have been possibly done ) I will replace the battery with a known good one and see how...

    I am guessing that the battery is being overcharged by the alternator as now and then there is a strong smell of rotten eggs in the cabin of my Terrano.Is the voltage regulator an integrated part of the alternator or fitted somewhere in the engine bay...........it's a Bosch alternator 70amp.And...

    A lot of motor factors down here sell the COMMA brand in the red plastic cans so I use that most of the time.

    Get both rear wheels off the ground and spin one of them..........If they both go round the same way then you have LSD.If one goes the opposite way then you don't.There will probably be a sticker on the rear diff telling you if it has LSD.

    Gearbox and tbox and diffs I use EP 80/90 and COMMA LS80W-90 LIMITED SLIP GEAR OIL in the rear if you have the LSD rear diff

    Hello and welcome.........the scratches on my Terrano have come from someone keying it and not from a hedgerow :( That's when the previous owner used to keep it on the road .I keep it on my drive so well out of the way of any louts.

    My eldest is nearly 17 and I am 41 so I could well be a grandad by the age of 47 so I rekon it's a good age to be one . Just hope my parents are around to become great grandparents(Now that would be an eye opener) Dave

    Which glow plugs ?

    What I do is search for Terrano glowplugs on ebay and all will be revealed but it is an easy job to take one out anyway and read the part number. Cheers Dave

    Remote keyfob repair

    Didn't realise that one push on the remote will only unlock the drivers door then another press opens the rest............the same as a Discovery TD5 I once had.
