:thumb2 hi just bought this 2.7tdi x reg terrano se+ and need a maf for it as when connected does not pull away from a snail and at motor way strugle to keep 60mph on the hills but when i disconnect the maf things are really good again so hane put it down to that but where is the best place to buy 1 and when i go full lock whith steering and drive at same time i get a knocking noise is there a common fault i need to look at frist maybe a ball joint just like to be put in the right direction thanks for any help in advance.

Try searching for cleaning MAF

Knocking is the steering stops. Just need some grease on them.:thumbs

constant knocking on full lock could be a cv joint.

and the knocking noise as Terranoman says will be the steering stops, 4 in all, literally a blob of grease fixes it, thats what i did on mine a few month back and its been fine ever since.

thanks for all the help i sort of found the it was the steering stops but thought there was a bit of rubber missing so will greese that up now again thanks for that with the maf does the bosch 1 look diff from the hitatch (sorry for spelling) i no it is def gone as i have cleaned it with contact spray and no good when its pluged in but loving it when its not pluged in and does any1 no if the injection pump if bosch or lucs look diff or will i def have bosch on that age thanks again love this site.:thumbs:clap

think you will have bosch, bosch is different to hitachi, hitachi is flat/square bosch is tall/sticky outy!

on the MAF, one have 3 wires the other 4 wires, so cant mix them up

that looks just like mine so i will go with that i have bosch thank god does that mean i will also have bosch injection pump as i have bosch maf.

Every 4 to 6 months usuaully sorts my stops out but it depends if you pressure wash or drive through lots of water:clap

Your more than likely have the bosch pump if you have the bosch maff
