The quote with the huge excess was the meerkats best effort. 50 yrs, 14+ years protected NCB (but hit & run on my parked car in Feb '09 came out of my insurance), no convictions in last 5 years.

Use Spybot - Search & Destroy (free) http://www.safer-networking.org/dl/ Backed by a decent antivirus/firewall security. I use Eset but that's not free, but is damn near the best. Avast is reasonable as a freeware, I believe.
