I've Been thinking of ways of making cash so I can fix my truck, I'm currently out of a job because there's no one around here hiring people, only McDonald's. been selling stuff on eBay, and fitting car audio systems but it ain't bringing in enough cash for me to get my truck safe and road legal so pass the mot soon, l been thinking of buying a cheap car to break for parts seem as I've made good money on eBay. Just need more:doh  obviously I can't drive yet so that's not helping much

Does anyone have ideas? I do know it's an odd question to ask here but I'm asking everywhere tbh.

Things my truck needs are rear breaks replaced and a bit of rot fixed, dad was going to help me with them, but that's just another one of his broken promises : fortunately, my best mate knows how to weld now:D so that's ok, and we both have a bit of experience with brakes. , also need to get a decent angle grinder, think I'm going to speak to my mate and see if we can get my truck happy again, so it'll pas the mot and when I pass my test I can drive it my mate is good as he happily stayed at my house when we were stripping my old swb until 2am:eek::clap

Ohh aye, also need to get new rear shocks:naughty

surely the parts for the rear brakes are not costly? Especially since you have broken a swb already?

Money making ideas? I will keep them to myself thanks :thumbs

What about doing odd jobs like grass cutting etc? Whats wrong with mcdonalds, Better than nowt.

truck problems & making money

I think that title would do for every thread on here!

As Fez said! and yes I think I would like fries with that :augie

there's no way that id work at that place, all they do is get road kill and process it :augie

i need break cylinders

Bollocks. Do you want to get it done or do you want to be a fussy tart whining about how you can't do something because you don't fancy getting your hands 'dirty'?

If you want it, you'll buckle down and do anything to get it done. So. A shift at MacDreary gives you a few hours for a second job elsewhere too. :D

To be honest it's better than having "I sat around doing naff all" when it's on your CV. Just look at it as a stepping stone.

Or as said do odd jobs for old people etc.

aye, i'll see about doing odd jobs, also doing photography, i'll probably get more buisness in that when christmas closes in, ive started making christmas cards :D

Now you've upset me, if there's a job at MacDonald'swhere'syourtrousers then bloody well take it..........:question
OR
get your spares etc listed on fleabay, and don't just put Terrano for spares:eek:
You have to be pro active, no-one will guess you sell cards or take photos or have 4x4 spares .
So instead of getting bored and fiddling with your mother's fuses, spend your time wisely. Like make a website or summut to promote your cards and photography etc.
Make some flyers and distribute them your self re odd jobs
Oh yeh, stop whinging :thumbs

swallow your pride mate , we all have to sacrifice something in order to achieve our goals

young ones these days! :lol u gotta do something to get cash, either it be mcd's or else where surely there's gotta be xmas jobs coming up

You come across as someone who likes to try most things, well you do on here, I have never been unemployed, I have swept streets, cleaned class rooms, work bloody hard on building sites, cut grass, cleaned neighbours cars and done many or any job in the past to earn wonga, as the others have said, it won't come to you, if you want something, you gotta go get it.

Mc Donalds, Your scottish! what's the problem. Any jobs a good job at times.

You have got a roof over your head, no dependants to care for, if you get your own place, wife and kids, you will do anything and everything, and do without yourself to ensure that you provide for them.

So get out and work for McDonalds, but they may not want you, they have standards too. :doh don't assume you can walk it.

Over the years I employed a guy who had a fill in job at Iceland, and employed him as an electronic technician.
He was unemployed so worked at Iceland whilst he searched for a better job.
Compared to the other applicants, some did nothing for nearly two years, so they never made it to interview.

It is easier to search for work when employed, rather than being on the dole for several years.

get yourself down to MacD's mate, get yourself a job. when the money rolls in, you'll soon change your tune, and i know for a fact that you can get you and your mates some cheap grub..cheap, as in free.

anyway, as I suggested on Facebook, sell some of your dads stuff when he's not looking, you don't sound like you get into enough trouble.

cheers guys, im actually in the process of making a website for my photography business, problem it, there's not many jobs around here, a lot of people are starting up themselves. like me

there was a garage i wanted to work at as an apprentice but was not able to because they said im too young, i'm bloody nearly 17:eek::rolleyes::rolleyes:

im not just moaning:), been inquiring at places, im possibly going to try a scrapyard 30 miles away called DA auto parts, wouldn't mind that!:sly

im selling a few bits of his astra tbh, i didn't say that on Facebook as he'd see, have more bits stashed away to sell:naughty

i have two little saying that i live by:
if you don't like it, change it! and if you want it go get it. now neither of those are easy things to do, determination! determination!

no one ever got anywhere without putting the work in :D:thumb2

just come back frm macdonalds, burger mat seemed fine, though I think the fries were made of road kill potatoes :)

seriously, know very little about the place you live but their must be things that are pertinent to the locality, you need to make your skills sellable. For example no good learnig to be a farmer if you live in a city! Maybe installing solar panels, or a tree surgeon?

Plumbers people always need plumbers weather in city village or the sticks just need to get back to college and get the right papers in mean time when getting ur paper's nothing wrong in working in Mc Donald s :thumbs
