    Breaking Terrano 2 and Mavericks

Looking for an offside front hub for an X-reg TDI. Threads for the wheelbearing adjustment have stripped on the hub stub rather than the adjustment washer :augie Price and timescale please as it's now off the road :doh

    Anyone remapped their T2?

Bosch MAF'd Terrano ECU's should be able to take a reflash.

Where did the passenger door lock go?

Realistically, if someone managed to screwdriver open the single drivers door lock, they would all open under the lock barrel sensor driving the central locking system! My boot might have a lock barrel but I have isolated it from the central locking system so I'll call it quits at still equally...

Where did the passenger door lock go?

Also the tailgate lock... Retrofitted one to mine from an earlier model.

Heavy blue smoke when revved up

One of my exhaust housing to centre cartridge bolts snapped when I took mine apart for a rebuild  Cue drill and helicoil! Had a Megane engine run away after I'd fitted a new turbo due to the oil residue in the system. Very brown trousers time. For those that don't know what this is...

how to fix your leaking injector pump 1st draft

Congrats and deffo one to put in the downloads section. Couldn't see the 3 yellow markings on the quantity adjuster housing but would still feel more confident to tackle the job with that download in hand!

Find me a a Socket Set

Didn't catch you in time but I would have recommended this. The multipoint ones have a tendency to round rusty nuts and bolts and are thinner walled and more prone to cracking. I've had the set you've bought for nearly 10 years of home use. The 6 point impact ones listed above I use on a daily...

    ford transit question

If the oil is coming out of the breather have you thought of the possibility of a headgasket failure, holed piston or worn/failed rings causing cylinder pressure to escape in to an oil passage or the crankcase? Simple compression test would tell you more if you can get the glow plugs out.

Defo have a look at this link!

Not hard to see how false stories are created and spread. I'm remarking on a small point which is the weight of the Terrano, or to be fair, he was a scrap dealer and maybe decided to enter in to a pursuit situation with a tonne of scrap loaded in the back??! :lol

    VeggiBoost

Had to bite the bullet and try something different as I only have enough Vegiboost for about a tankful left. Time to try the offering from Trinity Chemicals. They accepted £11.50 + postage by the way. Was just going up in 50p increments so £11.01 upwards might be worth a try, but £11 or under...

are kyb gas shocks ok for the terrano

    Reversing light

Mine had a couple of 35W aftermarket fog lights on the tow bar when I bought it which didn't work. Took them off. A year later I've ended up using the existing wiring and fitting a couple of replacements which cost about a tenner off ebay. With the additional 70W of rear white light at a low...

    HID headlight conversion

I hate being blinded by other road users too. If people are coming towards me with fog lights on i'll make sure I show an appropriate signal to remind them they have them on. If I thought I was blinding other road users with my HID's then I would not use them. However, no one has ever flashed me...

    HID headlight conversion

See this thread and I've personally bought quite a few kits from this seller so can vouch for them. Yup, they really are plug and play easy and so much brighter than anything achievable with an incandescent bulb.

    VeggiBoost

Was getting by on the Millers Diesel Power Ecomax for months to boost the Cetane before I finally took the plunge and bought my first can of Vegi! ;)

    parts and tools

For tools also try: Justoffbase. I've been using them for nearly 10 years now. Tremendous service, the free postage on +£75 orders is generally next day and all Sealey and Draper stuff is despatched direct from manufacturer.

    VeggiBoost

Shizzle, I'm getting close to needing to order some too. Got about 6 weeks in hand here so hopefully he's batching some more!

    abs sensor help needed

If you have a selection of drill bits just get yourself started! Think i went right up to 18mm when I drilled mine out. Just be VERY careful you do not hit the ABS ring on the joint. I scathed mine very slightly a couple of times and got away with it. Can't remember how much I paid for a genuine...

    Virgin Media -price hike

My broadband from them has gone up roughly the same in the last year. Not impressed!

    Rear Disk back Plate?

Just rip it off, not an MOT fail. I take it the handbrake is internal to the caliper though and not brake shoes inside the disc bell housing which would be mounted to the backplate?
