    bottom radiator hose weeping

ok, moved back seemed to be plenty of room. Obviously very difficult to tighten the jubilee on the thicker rubber, will that be ok? I ran it for only about 5 mins or so but engine was already hot, got it to running temp just about and no leaks...

    bottom radiator hose weeping

not sure if there is, ill try it though. Actually that being said ill just moved the clip back as the hose is on by a good 4 inches over the pipe......!Im using a new clip too, but I think the old mark where the old clip was must be too weak for a seal...

    bottom radiator hose weeping

hey chaps. after doing the work on my car this weekend and replacing the pump, the jubilee clip at the top part of the radiator hose wouldn't tighten fully. The hose is old, but I replaced the clip but the hose is still weeping at the top. can this be fixed or do I need a new hose?:bow

    terrano thermostat housing gaskets

yes, I had to do that part as well, but I used red gasket sealant. I wasn't prepared to take a chance with a paper gasket, the red sealant is superb. :thumbs

    odd oil/fuel leak

gave it a clean, here is a photo of the wotsit all clean, still no idea what it is but the oil or whatever appears to sit at the very top in the area just opposite that loan bolt on the right, and runs down...

    terrano thermostat housing gaskets

when I did mine, initially the gasket failed. SO I made one. That failed too, so I bought some RED gasket maker for high temp applications (listed thermostat housing) and used that, problem solved. Just a thought.

    odd oil/fuel leak

yeah probably a good idea. I have cleaned the engine several times form when I had other leaks, but I do wonder if I missed this bit. Ill give it a good degrease and scrub, and ill use my jet wash to get in there and clean the grease and oil off. ill report back if I get anywhere, cheers chaps!

    odd oil/fuel leak

ill check alex, but the thing seems too close to the block to be a leak off pipe or the intercooler hoses, the leak off pipe is a good idea though so I will try get in there to inspect :thumbs

    odd oil/fuel leak

nope, its neither. This is inside the engine bay well away from the oil filter and blow back valve. Nearest oily thing is the dipstick but the leak appears to be coming from above, not the bottom...

    odd oil/fuel leak

Hey guys, been looking at this for a long time now, and never got round to fixing it due to other issues. Anyway, as I complete more and more little jobs on the car, im getting closer to getting time for this one. I have either a fuel leak, or an oil leak, somewhere in the depths on the...

    advice!

BAH!!! anyway, I needed to mostly empty the coolant system and flush the rad, so it made sense for this project to just remove the lot!

    advice!

access was easy - I had already removed the radiator/water pump etc, so I undid the power steering pump and moved back a little and used a long extension.. I like preventative maintenance, and if an issue occurs, I fix that!

    advice!

I checked it out, it is a filter in the bolt. Couldn't remove the filter, but it looked shiny clean so I put it back and left it alone, everything is running ok anyway but I wanted to check it while I was working on the car...

Bloody hell, I think that's one of the best finds ever. The CPS is going to become a common fault for a lot of folk as our cars get old. Prister, thanks very much for sharing this is a diamond of a find :thumbs:bow
