    Draining Cooling System

Drained my system recently and tried to get the drain block but didnt like the look of all the turbo bolts. I did remove my water pump and when cleaning up I blasted air down one of the water ways and it blew a load out of the other channel. Now wether thats correct or not still removed alot...

    Engine sealant

Can anybody recommend a sealant suitable for use on an engine. I need to seal my modded cps sensor to the gear cover as its weeping slightly. Got the genericl pu sealants in the garage but have no idea on their resistance to oil. Heres the spacer that was on their but was already leaking...

If you taking all of the sill off would it be worth considering replacing with stainless steel if you can get hold of it. Makeitfit and Rick both mentioned forming it in a triangular shape channel point down i think. These would then act like semi sliders and protect the body. You can weld...

It has one bolt on the right and the rest of the unit has been sealed in with a mastic of sorts as it has had the original modded. Ive seen a post by rick were he turned up a piece of brass to make a nice...

Changed belts, re fit everything, filled and bled the heating system. Then out for a nice long drive to see if I can find the leak. It was apparent straight away but i could see a couple of newly greasy bolts on the water pump so out with my handy inspection mirror

Now dont remove ur waterpump without having some gasket to replace it otherwise you might end up having to improvise. Not stolen from pete and his diff at all.:lol

I even romved the ac pulley to get behind it, water pump off as i wondered if it was weeping and collecting the oil as it ran down. Cleaned behind the pulley as best i could.
