    Water in Diesel

Silly question but the water that would be collected in the original filters, would that come from contaminated diesel from the fore court or is it small amounts that could form in the tank? Banshee do those eckes heated filters just screw into position under the hand primer? I know they are...

    Water in Diesel

I run veg in my Maverick and Terrano before that. Im not running 100% like Banshee but mix in some diesel an a tiny bit of petrol to thin the veg oil out as I was shown by Panelbeater, not had any issues through the winter with starting or lunpy running. Not that it was ever too cold down here...

    Hard to change gears

Even with a new master im still experiencing some issues. So far I have a new master, slave and flexi. Gear box oil been changed for correct grade. Fully adjusted height, travel n free play of the pedal. Driving wise changing up gear is good. No noises now when pulling off in first or reverse...

    Hard to change gears

Swapped in a new master cylinder over the weekend. Had a look over old unit and under the dust cover was filled with fluid and crap. So i dont know if the piston can let by when worn preventing then slave from fully extending?

    Starting gremlins

Hows your cover to fuel tank? When I had similar probs the surface between tank and pick up section thats mounted on top were not sealing properly. Little bits of corrosion were effecting that rubber seal on top of the tank. Might be worth a check.

Clutch has improved but i have to more space to make adjustments. Unless put some spacers behind the master cylinder to allow further rod travel? Will probably try a new master next as they are cheap enough compared to the clutch :D

Next to set the push rod correctly i undid the two bolts holding the cylinder to the firewall.. Iwound them to the ends of their threads and pulled the cylinder forward to give clearance to spin the baacket on the push rod. Again just crack the locking nut and adjust bracket to meet the opening...

Measured from floor to pedal face. I had to wind the pedal stopper all the way out to meet the required distance in the manual. Easy enough as you just loosen the locking nut then turn out the bolt.

Shreddies is still holding up but will renew the gasket with proper stuff the next time i drop all the coolant. Which may be sooner rather than later depending on my clutch. Setting the pedal correctly for height, travel n play made a good difference thought. Heres some pics of how I adjusted...

    Hard to change gears

This week have still been cruising about slowing in the truck for work. Still driveable with care. I tried Ricks test in 4th and 5th both times the car is stalling within a second of popping clutch. So im hoping that rules out contaminated clutch. I took the hyraulic side apart n reinstalled...

    Hard to change gears

Thanks for the pointers. Word of warning do not leave you phone on the floor after taking pictures of your clutch slave, then take your car out to test the repair. :lol Luckily ive managed to borrow a laptop to post till I get a new phone. So no new pics at the moment. So far I have changed the...

    Hard to change gears

Not been online in a while so it seems rude to jump on and ask for pointers but sometimes everything else takes over. So the Mav has developed an issue with changing gear. Ive had a read about but wanted to ask for any pointers and wether im check long all the right bits. Symptoms are as...

Got it on last night. Pedal action is now really smooth no creaking when depressed but it has not fixed the issue. I probably did a really bad job of bleeding so got some hose today an will bleed throughly tonight. Need to catch up on all the posts ive missed.

Bit of some basic fabrication. I use the term loosely. Im left with a solid pedal bracket.

Removed all off the jb weld stuff and got the grinder out.. Underneath i found this. No wonder it was creaking heavily.

Been away for a while, didnt realise how long id not been on the site for. Mav has developed a clutch issue i think, hard to get in and out of gear when the trucks in motion. Needs a blip of throttle on change up and down, seems to not dissengage when slowing and dropping the clutch pedal...
